Tunisia launches a public consultation on the governmental draft decree fixing the conditions and procedures of achieving the electricity generation projects from renewable energies.

In its attempt to adopt good governance principles, Tunisia launched a public consultation on the draft of the governmental decree on the conditions and procedures of electricity generation from renewable energies projects. (Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines). The  public consultation is published through the Tunisian national portal of legal information.The decree is surveyed for public consultation and in order to inform various groups about the executive decision. The deadline for receiving feedback on this public consultation is December 6th, 2015.

Earlier this year, Tunisia issued Law No. 12 of 2015, dated May 11, 2015 concerning the production of electricity from renewable energies. This law set the legal system relating to the completion of projects to produce electricity from renewable energy sources with the aim of meeting the domestic consumption needs or for export.
