RCREEE Concluded a Cooperation Agreement for Training Services in MENA and GCC Regions

On March 1st 2022, and in close cooperation with the international NOCN Group and Green Innova Company, the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) concluded a cooperation agreement for promoting RE and EE training services in the MENA and GCC countries.

This agreement stipulates the roles and the main areas of common interests that will determinate the collaboration axes between the three entities, for the sake of identifying the major needs of the energy professionals’ community in terms of capacity development activities, across different economic sectors in the MENA and GCC countries.

Under this training services agreement, RCREEE and Green Innova will be committed to join forces and promote different international certification programs developed and endorsed by the NOCN, focusing on the solar energy and energy efficiency disciplines, such as:

  • NOCN Level 5 for Certified Solar Photovoltaic Practitioner
  • NOCN Level 5 for Certified Energy Efficiency Practitioner
  • NOCN Level 3 for Installation and Operation and Maintenance of Solar Photovoltaic Practitioner

The agreement is considered as the outcome of a series of ongoing efforts and successes that RCREEE witnessed over years in the Arab region, as for developing and implementing a large number of trainings and personal certification programs in sustainable energy fields, such as the Pan Arab Certified Energy Manager Program, the first standardized in-depth professional certification program for Energy Mangers tailored for the Arab region, that was launched since November 2017.

Currently, RCREEE is coordinating with other well-known international energy training centers in order to bring more worldwide acknowledged programs to the Arab region under similar partnerships, with a vision to develop a solid and multidisciplinary credentialing portfolio adapted for the Arab energy professionals, in response to the needs of its member states, and in accordance with its mandate to raise the personal qualifications of the energy market’s workforces.
