The Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE) invites ambitious and motivated students and young professionals to apply for the Caribbean Energy Data Collection Internship Programme 2026.This highly competitive regional internship places selected participants at the forefront of strengthening the Caribbean’s energy knowledge systems. Interns will play a direct role in supporting national energy data collection and analysis that contributes to two of CCREEE’s flagship knowledge platforms: the CARICOM Energy Knowledge Hub (CEKH) and the National Energy Report Cards (ERCs).
These platforms provide critical data that inform energy policy, investment decisions, and regional energy planning across CARICOM Member States. The work completed through this programme helps governments, development partners, and investors better understand the region’s evolving energy landscape and accelerate the Caribbean’s transition toward sustainable and resilient energy systems. Selected interns will collaborate with national energy ministries, electric utilities, and key sector stakeholders within their assigned country to collect, verify, and compile essential energy-sector data. Their work will directly support the development of updated Energy Report Cards that provide a comprehensive snapshot of each country’s energy sector.
Through this experience, interns will gain valuable exposure to regional energy policy, data systems, and stakeholder engagement, while contributing to an initiative that strengthens evidence-based decision-making across the Caribbean energy sector.
