In an attempt to achieve the Arab Ministerial Electricity Council Goals to enhance and upscale Arab co-operation in the fields of transmitting, generating and distributing electricity through a set of measures to save power in the Arab Countries, RCREEE in close cooperation with League of Arab States (LAS) and MED-ENEC are organizing the "Arab Energy Efficiency Day" for the first time in Cairo, Egypt. The Event is planned to take place on May 21, 2013 at the headquarters of the League of Arab States. The "Arab Energy Efficiency Day" is a pan-Arab initiative that aims to raise the awareness of energy efficiency practices and technologies in the Arab region. The day will host various activities that include an introductory speech by His Excellency Dr. Nabil Elaraby, the Secretary General of the League of Arab States, a round table discussion among international and Arab energy field leaders, a press conference, and an open discussion.
