Jordan National Energy Efficiency Action Plan
December 3rd, 2012, The third stakeholder consultation workshop for Jordan’s National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP) took place in Amman, Under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Alaa Batayneh, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources & Minister of Transport. The workshop organized by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in cooperation with MED-ENEC and RCREEE for the purpose of consulting with key stakeholders in Jordan on the final draft NEEAP. During the workshop the Minister also highlighted the recent measures adopted by the Government of Jordan to mandate energy efficiency actions in various sectors, including mandatory requirements for the installation of Solar Water Heaters in Residential and Commercial Buildings starting from April 2013.
