A delegation from ECREEE headed by its Executive Director, Mr. Francis Semporé, paid a working visit to the WASCAL Competence Centre in Ouagadougou on June 29, 2023. During the discussions, Prof. Kehinde Ogunjobi, Director of WASCAL Competence Centre, commended the close collaboration between the two institutions in promoting Green Hydrogen in West Africa, while advocating for further partnership development in the field of Climate Change and other types of renewable energies.

Discussions also covered the forthcoming major activities promoted by the two institutions, in particular the development of an ECOWAS Regional Green Hydrogen Strategy, and the organization of the 8th edition of the ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum (ESEF 2023), to be held from October 12 to 13, 2023 in Praia, Cabo Verde.
