Egypt: Solar energy in Airports

Egyptian Airports Company Chairman, Gad El Karim Nasr  announced that Egyptian Airports Company will start a feasibility study to test the possibility of using solar energy in four airports (Sharm el-Sheikh, Assiut and Abu Simbel and Taba) in mid-February 2013. He pointed out that these studies are financed by SETTEC Company based on the protocol signed by SETTEC company representative and Egyptian Airports Company chairman.   Further, he assured that using solar energy will enable each of the four airports to increase its power capacity up from 10 to 20 Megawatt.
