Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) - Solomon Islands

Solomon Islands is a Least Developed Country (LDS) SIDS that will nonetheless commit to reduce emissions by:

  • 12% below 2015 level by 2025 and
  • 30% below 2015 level by 2030 compared to a BAU projection.

Solomon Islands can with international assistance, contribute a further:

  • 27% reduction in GHG emissions by 2025 and
  • 45% reduction in GHG emissions by 2030 compared to BAU projection.

Solomon Islands submitted their Intended nationally determined contributions (INDC) to the UNFCCC Secretariat on the 30th of September 2015.

No further revisions were undertaken and the same document was endorsed and submitted as the First nationally determined contributions on 21st September 2016.
