30 Nov 2022
ECREEE
Deadline: Jan - 11 - 2023

As part of its thematic priority on energy and environment, UNIDO is working with industries to help them adopt cleaner, resource and energy efficient production patterns. Since 2006, UNIDO has been working closely with the Global Environment Facility (GEF) to address global challenges related to energy, climate change, the phase-out of ozone-depleting substances and the production and use of persistent organic pollutants in more than 80 countries around the world.

The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE)" has been included as an implementing partner for the project. The objectives of ECREEE are to assist ECOWAS countries to improve energy access, energy security and climate change mitigation by promoting an enabling environment for RE and EE investments and industries. ECREEE will function as the project's knowledge management partner and as a vehicle for regional dissemination of the project's various methodologies, as well as a mechanism for retaining international expertise.

The project, entitled "Improving Nigeria's Industrial Energy Performance and Resource Efficient Cleaner Production through Programmatic Approaches and Promotion of Innovation in Clean Technology Solutions (NGN IEE-RECP project) aims to accelerate the adoption of industrial energy efficiency (IEE) and improve corporate environmental performance within the broader framework of best practices and innovative approaches to resource efficiency and cleaner production (RECP) in selected small, medium and large industrial enterprises in Nigeria. This will not only inculcate industrial energy efficiency and optimization, material, water and chemical efficiency, and cleaner production, but also contribute to environmental sustainability, improved access to energy, and improved financial status of the industry.

The deadline for submission of proposals is: 10th January 2023 at 23:59 hours. Proposals must be submitted in English and sent by email ONLY to the following address: iee-recp@ecreee.org clearly indicating in the subject line: “IEE-RECP Nigeria”.

The size of the individual email should not exceed 10MB and attachments should not be in zip format.

For further clarification, please contact the Program Officer, Mr. Charles Diarra at cdiarra@ecreee.org
