With a great pleasure, RCREEE hosted a group of students from the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economic (IIIEE) at Lund University for one week this month. The group helped RCREEE in assessing  the Egyptian Solar Water Heater (SWH) industry readiness to adopt SHAMCI certification scheme which RCREEE is currently developing. This scheme presents a regional quality assurance certification scheme for SWHs across the Arab region. The certification scheme was inspired by the European experience of Solar Keymark quality label where RCREEE added regional details and expertise to it.  The group also helps in assessing current industries in Egypt to adopt the proposed certification scheme.
