RCREEE Strategy for next phase endorsed by the Member States

RCREEE Board of Trustees approves the strategy for the second operational phase for the Center in its eighth meeting in Manama, Oct.9-10, The decision of the board marks a turning point for RCREEE as it sets out the strategic objectives and the commitments from the member states for regional cooperation and coordination in the area of renewable energy and energy efficiency policy and implementation.

Under the new strategy, the activities of the Center will be carried out within the scope of 5 strategic objectives. These will address primarily policy processes, reliability and comparability of facts and figures, improving institutional effectiveness and building human capacity through regionally coordinated actions.
In Bahrain RCREEE Executive Director and member of the secretariat also met H.E. A.Hussain Bin Ali Mirza, Minister of Electricity & Water Affairs and officials from the Bahraini Electricity & Water Authority to discuss areas of cooperation.
