21 September – Beirut, during the opening of Beirut Energy Forum, The Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) received the Energy Ambassador Award 2016.   

Eng. Ahmed Badr RCREEE executive director, received the award on behalf of RCREEE. In his speech, Eng. Badr thanked Mr. Arthur Nazarian, Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water for his continuous support for the forum.

In addition, Eng. Badr expressed his to the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC) on their efforts during the forum and success in gathering key energy experts and decision-makers annually.

The Energy Ambassador Award was launched in 2013, to acknowledge energy professionals and professional institutions for their achievements in the sustainability sector.
