On November 17^th, RCREEE Executive Director Eng. Ahmed Badr met with the Tunisian Minister of industry, Energy and Mines H.E. Mr. Zakaria Hamad, along with representatives from the Tunisian Utility of Electricity and Gas (STEG), the Agence Nationale de Maitrise de l’Energie (ANME) and the Direction Generale de l’Energie (DGE).

Following Eng. Badr presentation on RCREEE mission and its Action Plan, H.E. Mr Zakaria Hamad expressed the Tunisian commitment towards sustainable development and his full support to RCREEE with the aim of improving cooperation and information and knowledge exchange among Arab countries.

H.E. Mr. Hamad also emphasized that energy strategy in Tunisia aims to guarantee industry development and integration, jobs and competitive technological innovation as integral part of sustainable development and economic growth.
