Palestine seeks energy efficiency
As an effort to use the energy efficiently and effectively, the Palestinian Energy and Environmental Research Center (PEC) in collaboration with the French Agency for Development(AFD), organized a workshop entitled “Support and improve the energy efficiency and renewable energy in strategic sectors in Palestine “on 23/1/2013 in Ramallah. During the workshop, chairman of the Palestinian Energy Authority Dr. Omar Katana announced Palestinian Authority’s decision to implement two projects in the energy sector; first associated with the prepaid metering system with a budget of 5.6 million euros. The second project is related to energy efficiency, with a budget up to one million euros.
